Wyndham Aquatic Centre Façade
The fast-growing community of Wyndham have been eagerly visiting their new aquatic centre since its completion at the end of June 2015. AquaPulse and the Encore Events Centre was Wyndham City Council’s biggest ever capital works project. The new complex features a 50m pool, 25m learn-to-swim pool, leisure pool, spa and sauna, gymnasium, café and two giant water slides.
Ceramic Solutions are honoured to have been a part of the redevelopment. The new facility in Hoppers Crossing was part of a $54.4 million redevelopment of the former Wyndham leisure and events centre. The project took approximately one year to complete and the results are outstanding.
Ceramic Solutions installed brick slips for the façade of the complex, ensuring durability and strength to last a lifetime. The modern brick slip cladding was manufactured in Germany by Stroher, using a combination of smooth "Keravette" unglazed graphite and textured "Keraprotect" den haag brick slips. The result is an unmistakable look that suits the building’s surrounds.
The material thickness of the brick slips is 11mm meaning they are not only light, but also extremely robust and completely colourfast due to the especially high firing temperature. Using 240x71x11mm size brick slips, 1,000sqm was supplied and installed by Ceramic Solutions, including moulded corners for an easy and uniform look, both inside and outside the complex.
AquaPulse and the Encore Events Centre was designed to be a hub for community members to enjoy and encourage people to lead healthy lives. The redevelopment was completed in June 2015 with the help of the Ceramic Solutions team. The complex has been enjoyed by millions and will continue to be enjoyed for decades to come.
Ceramic Solutions are proud to have contributed to the redevelopment of this superb facility which has benefited one of Australia’s fastest-growing communities. We love seeing projects like this come to life and lending our expertise to get the job done. We look forward to continue helping to build facilities like this in the future that benefit communities throughout Australasia.
